These terms cover your use of edenarborist.com and set out the general basis on which we quote and carry out tree work. The specific scope, price, and timing of any job are set out in the written estimate we give you for that job. If anything in a signed or accepted estimate conflicts with these terms, the estimate governs.

Using this website

You may use this site to learn about our services and to contact us. Please do not use it to send unlawful, misleading, or abusive material, to attempt to interfere with the site, or to scrape or republish its content without permission.

The text, photographs, and layout on this site are ours and are protected by copyright. The photographs are of our own crew and completed work. Please do not reuse them without asking.

Information on this site is general

The service pages describe how we generally approach tree work. They are not an assessment of any particular tree. Trees vary enormously in condition, species, structure, and surroundings, and the right course of action can only be determined by looking at the tree in person. Do not rely on this site to decide whether a specific tree is safe.

If you believe a tree is an immediate danger to people or property, treat it as urgent and call us or another qualified professional rather than waiting.

Estimates and quotes

Our estimates are free and there is no obligation to accept one. An estimate is based on the conditions we can observe at the time of the visit and on the scope discussed with you.

An estimate is not a binding contract until it has been accepted by both of us. If we uncover conditions that were not visible or reasonably foreseeable at the time of the estimate, such as internal decay, hidden hardware in the wood, unmarked utilities, or ground conditions that prevent safe access, we will stop, explain what we have found, and agree any change with you before continuing.

Scheduling, weather, and safety

Tree work depends on weather and on safe working conditions. High wind, storms, lightning, ice, and saturated ground can make a job unsafe to perform. We may need to reschedule for those reasons, and we will tell you as soon as we can when that happens.

We may also stop work partway through a job if conditions change and it is no longer safe to continue. Safety of our crew, your household, and your property comes ahead of finishing on a particular day.

Access and property preparation

To work safely we need clear access to the tree and room to drop and process material. Before we arrive, please:

• Move vehicles, garden furniture, planters, and anything else you do not want near the work area
• Tell us about anything buried or hidden that we would not otherwise see, including irrigation lines, septic systems and lateral fields, invisible pet fences, private electrical or water lines, drainage, and recent landscaping
• Keep children and pets away from the work area while we are on site
• Let us know about neighbour access, shared driveways, or gate codes we will need

Public utilities will locate their own lines on request. Private lines running from a house to a garage, barn, pool, or well are usually not covered by that service, and we rely on you to point them out. We take care around everything we know about, but we cannot be responsible for damage to unmarked private lines we were not told about.

What normal tree work involves

Even carefully executed tree work leaves marks. Ruts and compaction in soft ground, minor lawn scuffing, sawdust, and small divots are normal and expected on most jobs, particularly when the ground is wet or equipment has to cross a lawn. We clean up thoroughly and we will tell you in advance if we expect a job to be hard on the ground.

Unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing, our work does not include lawn repair or reseeding, stump grinding when only removal was quoted, backfilling or landscaping after grinding, or removal of pre-existing debris that was not part of the job.

Insurance

We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. A certificate of insurance is available on request, and we are glad to provide one before work begins. If your property manager, HOA, or insurer needs it, just ask.

Photographs of completed work

We often photograph work in progress and completed jobs for our own records and occasionally to show examples of our work. We do not publish addresses or client names alongside them. If you would rather we did not photograph work at your property, tell us and we will not.

Links to other sites

This site links to third-party sites such as Google Maps and our review listings. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Kentucky law, our liability arising out of your use of this website is limited. The site is provided as is, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its content is complete or current at all times. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence. Our responsibilities for work performed at your property are governed by the estimate for that job and by applicable Kentucky law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and any dispute relating to them or to this website will be handled in the courts of Kentucky.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
